The County Links above will keep you specifically in or near Erie and Erie County, PA, home of the only beaches in the Commonwealth, part of the Great Lakes Region of northwestern PA, and a hop, skip and jump away from Niagara Falls. We add new listings and links on a regular basis.

There are only two cities in Erie County: the City of Erie and the City of Corry. Directly north of the county is Lake Erie. This position on the water makes Erie County the only county in Pennsylvania to share a border with Canada, which is located on the far shore of the lake. It is the only county in the state that occupies a significant amount of land north of the 42nd parallel.

Presque Isle State Park is a 3,200-acre sandy peninsula that arches into Lake Erie. As Pennsylvania's only "seashore," Presque Isle offers its visitors a beautiful coastline and many recreational activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling and in-line skating. A National Natural Landmark, Presque Isle is a favorite spot for migrating birds. Because of the many unique habitats, Presque Isle contains a greater number of the state's endangered, threatened and rare species than any other area of comparable size in Pennsylvania.

The US Brig Niagara or the Flagship Niagara, is a wooden-hulled brig that served as the relief flagship for Oliver Hazard Perry, (Don't Give Up the Ship,") in the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812. It is one of the last remaining ships from the War of 1812. The Niagara is usually docked behind the Erie Maritime Museum in downtown Erie in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania as an outdoor exhibit for the museum, but travels the Great Lakes during the summer, serving as an ambassador of Pennsylvania when not docked. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and was designated the official state ship of Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 1988.

Erie, the county seat, was so named because it was Pennsylvania's port on Lake Erie. It is the state's third largest city. Downtown Erie, there are new developments taking place every day. There is a new bicentennial observation tower that affords great views of Presque Isle Bay and the city. Uptown Erie, many new stores, superstores, outlets, restaurants and hotels along with the giant 200 store Millcreek Mall combine to make an exciting shopping mecca for the whole region.
