Westmoreland County, which is part of the Laurel Highlands, is the home of many historic sites, natural attractions, recreational activities and shopping services.

Latrobe is the home of the Latrobe Brewery (the original brewer of Rolling Rock beer), Saint Vincent College, and golfer Arnold Palmer. It was the childhood home of Fred Rogers, children's television personality who was buried there in Unity Cemetery after his death in 2003. Latrobe is home to the training camp of the six time Super Bowl champion, Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ligonier is the site of a reconstruction of Fort Ligonier, an example of a frontier fort of the French and Indian War. Ligonier is also known for its downtown square, the Diamond, which has a bandstand in the middle.

Greensburg, the county seat, is a major cultural center in Western Pennsylvania. It is the home of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, which specializes in American Art circa 1750-1950. The Palace Theatre is the site for various performances throughout the year. Additionally, it is the home of the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, and the Summer Sounds Concert Series at the Robertshaw Amphitheater in St. Clair Park.

Two hundred years will disappear before your eyes when you visit Westmoreland County and the Laurel Highlands. With its mountain vistas, historic highways, and scenic farmlands, the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania is a beautiful place to visit throughout the year.
