Streams

Hyner View Overlook
Approximately 30 minutes from the lodge, Hyner View State Park features a scenic vista overlooking the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. This is one of the nicest scenic vistas in Pennsylvania state parks. You can see for miles upstream and downstream over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and surrounding mountains. Hang gliding is a very popular activity at the park. Hang gliders take off from the scenic vista and sail out over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. PA Grand Canyon
You will find overlooks that offer the most spectacular views. Situated in approximately 160,000 acres of the Tioga State Forest lies the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. The Canyon begins south of Ansonia along US Route 6 and continues for approximately 47 miles. The maximum depth of the canyon is 1,450 feet at Waterville, near the southern end. At Leonard Harrison and Colton Point State Parks, the depth is more than 800 feet and from rim to rim is approximately 4,000 feet.
